Envy Nutrition Brain Support Review – The Ingredients
2 capsules of Envy Brain Support give you the following ingredients:
- Vitamin A (360mcg)
- Vitamin C (125mcg)
- B Vitamins
- Vitamin D (2.5mcg)
- Vitamin E (30mg)
- Calcium (20mg)
- Iron (1mg)
- Magnesium Oxide (50mg)
- Zinc Oxide (10mg)
- Selenium (50mcg)
- Copper (0.052mg)
- Manganese (0.4mg)
- Chromium (12mcg)
- Molybdenum (10mcg)
- Potassium (50mg)
- Proprietary Blend (692mg)
As you can see, there are all the essential vitamins and minerals as the basis of Envy Brain Support formula. Among them we have B vitamins which, due to their involvement in energy metabolism and dopamine synthesis, can boost your motivation and mood – but only if you’re deficient in them.
We also see vitamins A, C, D and E, all of which are potent antioxidants that can protect your brain cells from damage.
Minerals such as magnesium and zinc, on the other hand, can help relax the nerves and relieve brain fog.
All looks good here – with one exception. Almost all of the vitamins and minerals in Envy are underdosed. Plus, magnesium and zinc come as ‘oxide’, which your body will have a hard time absorbing.
The combo of low doses and poor quality ingredients means you won’t benefit much vitamins and minerals in Envy.
Okay, but what about the proprietary blend? This is where actually the most nootropic ingredients in Envy are. These include DMAE, Bacopa Monnieri, N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine and others.
Some of these ingredients are excellent. But since they’re a part of a proprietary blend, there’s no way for us to know if they’re dosed correctly. You can only see their combined dose as the whole blend.
Here’s a closer look at the main nootropic ingredients in Envy:
DMAE
DMAE is often used for two goals; to improve skin quality or to prevent cognitive decline.
In terms of the latter, DMAE can prevent so-called ‘age pigmentation’ in your brain. Age pigmentation is the build-up of amyloid plaque in your brain which can impair neuron function or even kill neurons, leading to mental decline over time.
Not only does DMAE reduce brain plaque, but it’s also been shown to boost the memory neurotransmitter acetylcholine.
In some cases, DMAE also acts as an antioxidant in your brain. It attaches to your brain cells where it can reduce free radical damage – further protecting the aging brain.

Glutamine – Envy Nutrition Brain Support Review
Glutamine isn’t a particularly strong nootropic compound. In fact, you’ll more often see it in gut health supplements; that’s because it can aid gut cell integrity, as well as repair muscle damage from training.
Glutamic Acid
Glutamic Acid is sometimes also known as ‘glutamate’. Your brain naturally makes this compound so you don’t need to ingest it through food or supplements.
Being an excitatory neurotransmitter, Glutamic Acid fires up your brain cells to work faster – contrary to what other brain chemical, GABA, does.
However, in today’s fast-paced world, our brains are already making too much Glutamic Acid. Taking more through supplements can put your brain cells into overdrive – heightening stress and anxiety.
Green Tea Extract
Green Tea is a healthy ingredient. Its active compounds – catechins – are antioxidants that reduce inflammation within your body and brain. As such, it’s a good protective compound.
Green Tea can also typically improve focus due to caffeine. However, since we can’t see its dose in Envy, we can’t tell if it works at all.
Bacopa Monnieri Extract
Bacopa Monnieri is an excellent memory herb.
When taken in correct doses and consistently, it’s been shown to notably improve both the short-term recall and long-term information processing.
When I say ‘consistently,’ I mean for at least 6-8 weeks. Bacopa has been shown to take 12 weeks to make the biggest changes in your brain.
Choline Bitartrate as Envy Nutrition Brain Support Review
Choline is one of the most effective nootropic compounds out there.
It helps with the synthesis of acetylcholine, a brain chemical that governs your memory, recall, focus and learning.
Choline also helps your brain repair and rebuild its cells.
The best form of choline is CDP-Choline or Citicoline, followed by Alpha GPC. Both of these can easily cross the blood-brain barrier.
The Choline Bitartrate found in Envy, although cheaper, isn’t as bioavailable – limiting its use.
Inositol
Inositol is best known as an anti-anxiety compound.
Being involved in cellular metabolism (similarly to glucose), Inositol can calm the mind when taken in doses between 6-14g per day. This is a heck of a lot more than Envy’s entire proprietary blend!
Tyrosine
N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine is one of the best ingredients for motivation.
Envy has included an unknown amount of it, so we can’t tell if it works. If we had to guess, we’d say it’s very unlikely that Tyrosine works here, because you need 500-1,000 mg to really feel the effects.
Envy’s entire proprietary blend is just shy of 700mg in size.
Bilberry Fruit Extract
Bilberries have benefits that are similar to other berries; including blueberries.
All berries contain powerful natural antioxidants, some of which include anthocyanins. These can protect your brain cells from oxidative stress.
Which is great! However, this ingredient doesn’t have any direct nootropic benefits – you won’t feel it working.
GABA
GABA is a brain chemical that your brain naturally makes. It helps calm you down and get you to sleep. GABA is also one of the reasons why alcohol makes you more relaxed in social situations.
However, the brain doesn’t like to get GABA from outside sources like supplements. GABA supplements can’t cross your blood-brain barrier well, which makes this ingredients’ effects limited – at best.
Grapefruit Seed Extract
Grapefruit seeds are a good source of antioxidants that promote cellular functioning and may lower inflammation levels.
Still, we don’t rate this as one of the best brain health ingredients around.
Olive Leaf Powder
We aren’t sure what this ingredient is doing in Envy.
Olive Leaf is known for promoting glucose metabolism, along with aiding skin health. Its active compounds, such as Phenolics, protect from oxidative stress caused by high LDL cholesterol. Making this a decent cardiovascular health ingredient – but not a nootropic!
Cinnamon Bark Extract
Cinnamon is good for regulating your blood sugars. This is most notable after you eat a meal, which is when sluggishness and brain fog typically occur.
Licorice Root
Licorice is a double-edged sword. Although great at reducing the stress hormone cortisol, it also lowers testosterone.
Not great for males, as low test causes brain fog and a whole lot of other mental and physical issues.

DHA as Envy Nutrition Brain Support Review
DHA is a critical brain compound. In fact, it makes up a large part of your brain. It governs your memory, focus and even mood.
But what is DHA exactly? It’s a type of Omega-3 fatty acid, the same one you’d get from fish or flaxseeds.
How Long Does it Take for Omega-3 to Work.Omega-3 and Female?
DHA optimal dose for nootropic benefits is 1g, taken daily for at least a few months.
Since Envy’s entire proprietary blend is 692mg, it’s safe to assume this ingredient is severely underdosed and as such won’t have as big of an impact on your cognition as it could.
Vanadyl Sulfate
Vanadyl Sulfate is another pointless ingredient in Envy. It’s commonly used in bodybuilding supplements due to its ability to lower blood sugar and enhance athletic performance.
However, compared to other nootropics, its effects on the brain are minuscule.
Phosphatidylserine
This is a good choice. Phosphatidylserine, or PS, is found in abundance in your brain, where it governs brain cell signaling and health.
PS is currently the only nootropic with an FDA-approved health claim. It may help fight cognitive decline when taken in the right doses.
It also helps lower stress; be it physical or mental.
Huperzine A
Huperzine A inhibits enzymes that break down acetylcholine, your learning brain chemical.
This is good; however, Huperzine A isn’t the safest ingredient to take long-term. It’s been shown to cause headaches, nausea and, ironically, memory loss when abused.
Anything Missing?
Despite having so many ingredients, Envy has omitted a couple of important nootropics. These include:
- CDP-Choline – the most bioavailable source of choline for memory, as well as the mental clarity compound uridine.
- Maritime Pine Bark Extract – contains the most powerful nootropic antioxidants known to man, promoting blood flow, memory and dopamine synthesis.
- Lion’s Mane Mushroom – repairs and regenerates nerve cells, reduces depression.
- L-Theanine – improves deep focus, eases tension
- Rhodiola Rosea – boosts mental function under pressure, increases tolerance to stress

How to Take (Dosage Instructions)
Envy comes with a serving of 2 capsules, taken once per day 20-30 minutes before your meal.
You should drink it with a full glass of water. Some of the ingredients may be highly concentrated, by drinking enough water you’ll help your kidneys filter them efficiently.
Side Effects – Envy Nutrition Brain Support Review
As Envy Brain Support contains ingredients in unknown amounts, some of them may cause negative side effects to some users.
Huperzine A, for example, can give you headaches when taken long-term and/or in high enough doses.
Ingredients like Bacopa, although beneficial for memory, are anecdotally reported to cause anhedonia in some users. However, this is easily avoidable if you take a high-quality Bacopa extract in the clinically-tested dose. Too much of a good thing easily becomes a bad thing!
Envy Nutrition Brain Support Customer Reviews
You’ll find the majority of Envy customer reviews on Amazon, where it boasts a solid score!
Most of the reviews report that they didn’t have any serious side effects from this supplement. Although, a few negative ones did pop up from time to time.
You’ll need to make sure to do your own research before buying any supplement. Do a thorough inspection of the ingredients in the product and see what the science says about them.
This is a much better way to gauge if a product will work for you or not than looking at other people’s reviews which can easily be faked!

Envy Nutrition Brain Support Review Price & Value For Money
Envy Nutrition Brain Support costs $20 on the official website, but the price can vary depending on where and when you buy it. Sometimes they offer discounts.
The value for money is decent, but not the best. This product isn’t transparent, meaning, you can’t tell if the ingredients are effectively dosed.
Some of the ingredients don’t even work for brain health – they should be replaced with properly researched nootropics for this supplement to really work as it should.
Envy Nutrition Brain Support Review Conclusion
So that brings our Envy Nutrition Brain Support review to an end!
Although some of its ingredients – Bacopa, Tyrosine, Phosphatidylserine, B vitamins – are excellent, most of them don’t have their dosage shown on the label. We can’t tell if they work or if they’re safe.
Envy Nutrition Brain Support Review Final Words
The ingredients that do show their amounts on the label are either underdosed or don’t work.
The dosage of just one serving per day doesn’t help – the mental effects won’t last you through the day.
Despite being cheap, Envy is far from a complete nootropic.
